The Mobile Tool

Project MAX, Infor's codename for this progressive web app, was developed as an answer to users' demand for a mobile tool that delivers highly relevant and intelligence-rich content to them at the exact right moment and depth of detail.

The result is a dynamic and context-aware interface aggregating and presenting relevant data from CloudSuites and third party networks. Driven by machine learning, the app is constantly adapting to better predict and cater to its users' needs.

Home Screen

Home Screen

Upon entering the app, users are presented with the most relevant and time sensitive information accompanied by suggested actions based on what they would likely need to do next.

Below that are a variety of widget cards dynamically delivering contextual information. These are presented in order of relevance based on time, location, urgency, and events. Each of these cards can then be expanded and swiped to reveal content that offers deeper insights on the subject.

The Layers

The Layers

If users choose to dive deeper into one of the widgets, they can open a detailed view of the content over the top of the home screen. This layering functionality enables the widget content to always be one tap away, as well as allow the screens to be minimized to enable multi-tasking within the app.

Since the prototype was designed for sales representatives, this layer is focused on preparing for an upcoming meeting. The header of the screen provides quick snapshots of the most pertinent information relative to the meeting and the client. To go more in-depth, users can just scroll further down the screen.

A Deeper Dive

A Deeper Dive

In these layers, users have the ability to access additional screens to view more detail on a subject. However, as users dive deeper, they never lose the ability to close or minimize the layer to return to the home screen with one tap.

These screens highlight the opportunities users have available with a specific company, with the ability to view the full details of a specific opportunity. The header of each screen displays the at-a-glance essential information, while the content below gets more granular. This design paradigm is also found throughout the rest of the app.

The Essentials

The Essentials

One of the most important pieces of information to sales representatives is the leaderboard. It is their way of gauging how well they are performing compared to their colleagues.

The position and score of the users are displayed front and center, so they never have to search for it. The arrows on coworkers' pictures indicate movement on the leaderboard, making it effortless for users to see how their coworkers are performing as well.

Coleman

Coleman

To help users achieve the utmost success possible, the app includes a digital advisor, Coleman. Coleman is Infor's Artificial Intelligence, which is powered by Amazon Lex and Infor's technology platform.

Coleman not only ensures the content throughout the app is highly relevant and intelligence-rich, but also makes contextually aware recommendations and is available to converse with.

Recommendations

Recommendations

Upon tapping on the ever-present floating action button, users are presented with contextually relevant actions and a chat dialog to engage in conversation with the digital advisor.

This functionality augments the interaction of the app from just being a method of consumption to also being a means of collaboration between the users and Coleman.

Conversations with Coleman

Conversations with Coleman

Users are able to converse with Coleman through either text or voice. Users can ask their questions, receive recommendations, and make requests for Coleman to take action, intelligently.

Information no longer has to be searched for, it is now delivered upon request or in anticipation of users' needs.

Navigational Menu

Navigational Menu

Since the primary method of navigation in the app is through recommendations by Coleman or widgets, there is no traditional navigational menu.

However, for those users who still desire this type of menu, within Coleman's interface they can find recommended and recently viewed pages.
